Retrofit glazing system · UL 752
RetroKIT.
UL 752 retrofit for existing doors and windows.
A ballistic retrofit for classroom doors, sanctuary entries, and reception lites. The door stays. The frame stays. The opening gets the rating. Most openings finish in an afternoon.
The RetroKIT panel — cut to the opening, framed in aluminum.
Why retrofit
What the RetroKIT replaces.
Most of the schools and congregations we meet with cannot tear out their classroom doors and start over. The RetroKIT exists for that reality. It brings an existing opening up to a ballistic rating without replacing the door or the frame.
Our specifications team measures the opening, the kit is cut to match, and our associates install it. A school can work through a wing of classrooms without disrupting the academic calendar. A congregation can rate the sanctuary entries between services.

Where it's installed
Where the RetroKIT is installed.
The RetroKIT installed at Temple Kol Tikvah protects the sanctuary entry doors without changing the appearance of the congregation's building. Classroom retrofits in the school systems we work with follow the same approach: the teacher walks back into the same room the next morning, and the door is rated.
